Look For The Brass Disc

Before social media, websites and online guitar forums, there was a much simpler way to recognize an Odyssey.

Look at the headstock.

Many original Odyssey instruments carried a small brass disc.

For collectors today, that little piece of brass represents something much bigger—a fascinating chapter in Canadian guitar-making history.

We haven't forgotten it.

There are easier places to manufacture guitars.

That's not the point.

Odyssey began in Vancouver.

And Vancouver is where its next chapter is being written.

The original Odyssey lasted only a few remarkable years. Its influence lasted much longer.

Now, fifty years after Attila Balogh's first Odyssey left the Vancouver shop, we're building them again.

Not exactly as they were.

As we believe Attila would want them to be today.
